I thought this movie was very well done and personally hit home for me as my friends and I all start to move to separate areas of the country. My friend and I each recently watched this movie and during our fantasy draft talked about how even after some of us have moved we all came back for the draft and how I literally made friends with one of the participants at a draft a few years ago. The history of fantasy football was a mystery to me and seeing the players reaction to it was equally entertaining for me but what made this movie special were (and I assume are) those personal connections between these friends and the care they all have for each other. I thought it was done very well and am very excited to buy and watch 10 MPH in the coming days. I hope you guys keep producing great movies like this (and I hope 10 MPH is as good as this). I can only imagine how hard making a movie like this could be and somehow you guys made a movie I thought was well done and hit close to home for the many of us who play fantasy football with friends near and far. I found 10 YARDS much more entertaining than 10 MPH. If I were stuck on a desert island and had to choose between 10 YARDS and 10 MPH I would choose 10 YARDS. Hunter, Josh, and I are good friends and I have seen them come along way. If you really pay attention to this film, you’ll notice much more depth, humor, emotion, and plot with 10 Yards then you got with 10 MPH. 10 MPH is an interesting idea (mine) and got people’s attention because of the Segway but 10 Yards stands on its own as a better all around movie. Here are two other misconceptions about 10 YARDS: The reason 10 Yards didn’t play the festival circuit is because playing rinky-dink film festivals is a waste of time. 10 YARDS is not a quirky character study. So comparisons to King of Kong or Word Wars are irrelevant. This is a sports movie more akin to Murderball or Pumping Iron. Posted 08/25/08 by Rob
First I want so say that I’m a fan of 10mph, the filmmakers first documentary. I made it to the Woods Hole Film Festival on Cape Cod just to see that one movie, bought the DVD, purchased it digitally, signed up for OurStage to benefit the filmmakers, and bought a t-shirt. Was it perfect? Nope, but it was a best effort and turned out to be entertaining and very interesting in a quirky sort of way. This movie is not good. They seem to have given up on the thing in the middle of it. After the movie, I’m left with a sense that fantasy football is less important than I thought it was before I watched the movie. Less significant than it probably is. Trivializing your subject must be the biggest mistake a documentary film can make. Now I think I understand why this isn’t making the film festival circuit the way 10mph did, and why it’s straight to internet/dvd release without talk of bolder distribution plans. Note to all you kids out there. Making documentaries is probably much harder than you might think it is at first. Should you not watch the movie? If you can see it for free then what have you got to lose? You should recognize that’s not much of an endorsement. On a more personal note to the filmmakers, I’m disappointed. I would have hoped that you would have least put in an honest effort. This thing plays like long YouTube video. The close of 10mph declared that filmmaking was Hunter and Josh’s ‘thing’. I wonder if they’ve changed their mind. Here’s hoping for better efforts in the future. Posted 08/23/08 by Barbara Weeks
It’s finally out!
Congratulations, Hunter and Josh.

I saw Hunter and Josh’s first film at a film festival in Idaho. And I was a little disappointed when I learned about the topic of the next....but this was cool. Way different than I was expecting. How are they making money? Posted 08/21/08 by Brett J.
This film is hilarious! A definite must-watch for any Football fan! |
