The whole point was to protect the bears, and Timothy also said that he would rather die that to harm a bear. He had a strong belief that if you enter the territory of a wild animal you have no reason to harm it. That is why they carried no weapons.

Anyone who thinks they know everything about Bears,well you see what happens.

Bears and Sharks scare the hell out of me.  As magnificent as they are I really do not feel that Tim should have been in close proximity to these creatures. They, like Sharks , are so unpredictable.  I think its wonderful that there are people who are willing to get up close and personal and learn about them .  If not for these people, chickens like me, would be unaware. 
There is an article on my PC today about a woman who was killed Sunday by her pet Bear when she entered it’s cage to feed it and cleanup.  What does that tell you?
I think those who approach Bears and Sharks know the risk and live according to what may happen to them in an adverse situation.
You know the old adage is:  If there are Sharks in the water and Bears in the woods, keep out.
I feel more sorry for Annie because from the film I saw of them, she seemed less comfortable than he.  I hope they have both gone to a better place, where friends don’t eat friends.

Tim was a good person just a bit confused. In the end there is wildlife and humans, neither one belongs with the other and Tim tempted fate sadly and reaped the results. Alaska belongs to bears, not humans.

I am sorry for Timothy Treadwell’s death and do believe he was good in bringing attention to these beautiful creatures. I do not believe the bear should have been shot tho. That bear was being a ‘bear’ and should be free to live his life out. It was wrong to kill it. I think Mr. Treadwell would want it alive too.

I liked this docu/film. It revealed components that up this man Timothy Treadwell. Someone who let his feelings guide him into a very dangerous world. A world where he shouldn’t have lasted a single season. He was onto something. It’s a sad waste to loose Timothy Treadwell and the bears he loved so much. Its so ironic.
