Hi Cherie,
Btw, in the description it says that movie is about hardship experienced by Sikh after 9/11 and someone getting killed just because of their appearance. What does killing some based on their looks has to do with your comfort zone? “This great country was built by immigrants” Posted 10/13/09 by mat
dear Cherie, I do want you to separate legal qualified immigrants invited by the government of USA from illegal immigrants who are thugs AND refugees technically1 The legal ones have contributed immensely since the creation of this country. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND HER PEOPLE! Posted 10/13/09 by cherie
the dream for americans is dying, so it makes it harder on immigrants as many americans feel they are to blame.

Hi Everyone,
I havent watched the movie however have watched quite a few that demonstrate the hardships faced and courage shown by the people of migrating community in their new motherland. Be it Indians, Latins the root cause of trouble is always stereotype culture and corrupt administration who would do it to their own people too if circumstances allow.

I thought this was a very important movie that reveals many problems experienced as a result of ignorance on the part of those who will not take time to have an international understanding of people who are all children of God. What ever we do to others we ultimately do to God and ourselves. I was raised a Christian and related to a former Presidents wife. I love America and what it stands for and it hurts us all to destroy what God has created, especially another human being. We must stand as a beacon to the world by modeling what we teach and preach. Each one of us must take a shared responsibility to represent our highest ideals as a human being and a country. Thank you for this contribution. to raise our conciousness toward that goal. They have a crazy white lady part of the Siki faith, it is kind of funny. You know she is a nut right off the bat. Posted 10/11/09 by David
I think this is really sad. Everyone in this country should have the equal right to succeed. Posted 10/11/09 by mat
IGNORANCE SHALL BE A BIG PART OF ANY CULTURE BECAUSE CHILDRENS ARE FED THE JUNNKS OF HOLLYWOOD AND DO NOT SPEND THE TIME IN EDUCATION. “THIS PROBLEM IS STUPIDITY BEGETS STUPIDITY. “ WE HAVE AMERICAN TEEN AGERS HAVING CHILDRENS IN MILLIONS. WHAT FUTURE DO THESE KIDS HAVE WHOSE PARENTS THEMSELVES ARE UNEDUCATED TEENAGERS BEGGING THE SOCIETY TO HELP THEM BECUASE THEY CANT EVEN HELP THEMSLEVES IN MOST CASES. MOST INDUSTRIALIZED NATIONS HAVE A STATIC POPULATION GROUWTH, LIKE JAPAN AND GERMANY, SO THAT THE RESOURCES CAN BE GIVEN TO ALL THE CITIZENZ ADEQUATELY. THIS MAY SEEM UNRELATIED BUT, THE FOR OUR COUNTRY TO SUCCEED AND COMPETE IN THE FUTURE IS TO HAVE A HIGHER EDUCATION. NOT, IGNORANCE BEGETTING MORE IGNORANCE! IF WE CONTUNUE TO PRODUCE BABIES IN AN UNCONTROLLED MANNER, WE ARE GOING TO BE LIKE A “THIRD WORLD”. A LOT OF CITIES IN CALIFORNIA ARE BECOMING LIKE THIRD WORLD AS MOST OF THE POPULATION OF THE CITY CAN NOT EVEN READ OR WRITE ENGLISH OR CARE ABOUT AMERICA. IF AN AMERICAN SOCCER TEAM IS PLAYING, THE PEOPLE ARE ROOTING FOR THE VISITING TEAM. AND, I FEEL SORRY FOR THIS CASE ABOUT THIS SIKH FAMILY. BUT, THE SIKHS DO HAVE A BETTER FUTURE IN AMERICA THAN IN PUNJAB, WHERE SIKHISM WAS FOUNDED, WHERE THE SUPPRESSION OF SIKH FAITH IS VERY STRONG. AS AMERICAN, WE ARE A PROUD AND LOVING PEOPLE, AND WE WILL GO FORWARD IN FAITH AND STRENGTH AND LEARN FROM THIS EXPEREINCE. GOD BLESS US ALL! Posted 10/10/09 by THE REAL TRUTH
This movie touches me so deeply. I am a Sikh American who lived in fear for my father and my uncles after September 11. I was in the fifth grade and worried that my dad would not come home at night. No person should have to feel that way. My heart goes out to this family and all that they have endured and am proud that they have taken positives steps in educating the people around them. The root of all the evil and hate is ignorance. I was not planning on commenting until I read the comment made by Truth teller who ironically spews lies. You, sir, are no better than Frank Roque. The only difference between you two is that you, hopefully, have not act outed on you hatred. Maybe if you were educated, you would see the difference between my people and the Muslims. Not all Muslims are bad or terrorists either, however we allow a few select define our understanding of the whole. Their religion DOES NOT teach hate! No religion does. And for you information your Christian faith is closely related to the Muslim faith. So many you should educate yourself a bit further. You should also understand that EVERYONE was hurt by 9/11 not just white people. America was created for everyone not just a select few. Sorry to burst your narrow-minded bubble. Sikhism is based on love and fighting for justice and most of the teachings of Sikhism and reflected in the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION! It’s people like you who give us Americans a HORRIBLE name. This Sikh family showed a lot of courage. God bless all of them and keep them safe in their community. Posted 10/09/09 by wiltedpetunia
I love this film. And more so, a part of me is excited and proud of the advancement and interest that more and more people are taking in educating themselves and others in the different cultures and religions that are practiced in this country. They may be small steps, but each step goes a long way. We will always have ignorance (whoever said “ignorance was bliss” was obviously an idiot) - we will have haters and the uneducated stubborn-minded folks, but it is our job as individuals to educate and make our voices heard, passively. Aggression only fuels the fire. Posted 10/08/09 by Lily
I love my people from Punjab and India. This film brings tears to my eyes. God bless us all. Does anyone know how i can buy this film? Posted 10/07/09 by Ray

Truth teller you are such an ignorant person, as you can tell by all of the other comments on this page, Rana is a SIKH, NOT a muslim. How dare you belittle another religion, because something bad happerned to this country. I too am very sorry for all of the lives that were lost in 9/11, but deaths ike Rana’s brothers could have been prevented, if people like you weren’t so ignorant, and actually took the time to learn about other cultures across the world, besides white and black. Dave! Your comment below is hilarious! “If you want to live in America, act like it”. Oh? Who are you? When did America become a Christian state? Did your ancestors act like Native Americans before stealing their country? And the Bible preaches love, a lesson obviously lost on you. By the way, why aren’t good Christian women covering their heads if that’s what the scripture says? First get an education, then get on this blog. You give all the rest of us Christians a bad name, you moron. Posted 10/05/09 by Truth teller
The problem is with the cult of hate! This so called religion of Islam or Muslem is nothing but a cult of hate and murder. Why would anyone want to belong to a group of people who make so much trouble in the world? In their book the Koran it calls for the murder of the infidel which they identify as US. They call the United Stated the “great satin” and their final goal is to kill or enslave all of us to accept their cult. When our founding fathers claimed the right of people to have freedom of religion they ment true religion, not muderous cults. On 9-11 this country got a wakeup call and an eye opener as to what these Muslems were up to, unfortunatly they have not done enough to protect our nation. Look at the news of today as the Muslems are being arrested for bomb making and planning new attacks in country. As long as we condon these people in our country with their cult of hate we will be in gepardy and it is only a matter of time till we see another attact. When you have a cult that wants to radically change our Nation and kill all those who do not convert to moslem why do we allow them into our country in the first place? So Rana sorry about your brother but more sorry about the people who died on 9-11 because your people flew airplanes into buildings.

As movies like the 10 Commandments are shown on the eve of the Holy Week, and Friday the 13th on the eve of Halloween, this movie should be shown on eve of 9/11’s aniversary every year. Posted 10/04/09 by Don
I am frustrated when the officer regarding the first victim indicated he was an Arab which is not true. Nowhere in the film did it suggest that Sikhs are not Arab but Indian. This is an important point and if more people were aware of this fact perhaps the Sikh community would not have suffered as it did. Simply saying they are Indian and not denying any Arab connection was not enough. Don McKinney, Roanoke, Va. Posted 10/03/09 by aman

Sikhs came in existacne to fight Muslim opression in India around 5 centuries ago. Traditionally the oldest son from Hindu families became Sikh (also meant soldier) to fight Muslims who tried to convert Hindus into Muslims. If Sikh Gurus had not made this Sikh force, 5 centuries ago then One billion Hindus would have converted to Muslim by force. There is a huge diffrence between turbans of Sikhs and Muslims that needs to be googled and learned!! Sikhs also tried to change the orthodox, untouchability and cast system in the Hindu religion; Sikhs can be compared to the Protestants of the West. Posted 10/01/09 by dave
If you want to live in America act like it. My Bible say in cor. 11 women should wear head coverings not men. Posted 09/28/09 by Know Thy Friend
Be honest. Can you tell Sikh from Taliban? Probably not. Do you care? You should. It helps to know your friend and protector from your enemy and killer. Some folks attack Sikhs because they vaguely resemble the enemy. How stupid is that? It’s no different from the Taliban or Al Qaeda, who blame every white person for their problems. Try Googling “Sikh Teachings Guru Nanak Brotherhood Tolerance Gobind Singh Bravery Soldiers Enterprising”. You will learn something new to live by. And if one day you are fortunate enough to visit India with all it’s beauty and its poverty, look for a Sikh beggar. You will not find one. Not even America can say that. Al-Qaeda is not America’s worst enemy. Ignorance is. Posted 09/27/09 by Jag
If he was fully armed as Sikhs are suppose to,what are his chances of being killed the way he was...?
But if that killer knew, there were equal chances of him dying as well...then… what was the probability ? I have a Sikh friend who had an automobile repair shop in New Orleans...Armed visibly, with his ceremonial dagger and a gun. Never saw him worried or concerned about being attacked. But then New Orleans is a peaceful town...! Posted 09/27/09 by Raj

For long time Americans never tried to learn about the outside world, however it is never late to learn anything in life. Sikhs known as lions of Punjab have been backbone of British Army in World War 11. Sikhism is synthsis of both Hinduism (the theises) and Islamism(anti-thesises). Their first Guru (Guru Nanak) created this religion by brining a social revolution by rejecting castiesm, mistreatment and suppression of women by then male dominated Indian society. Sikhs are very hardworking, progressive and family oriented people. Universal brotherhood, sharing, truthful and hardearned living and praying for the wellbeing of the entire humanity are among the commandments of sikhism. Posted 09/26/09 by rex dhatt
we spend to much time watching nonsence on tv we have to make sure that our children watch and understand fils like this so that we can beter ourselves and those who come in contact with us . very sad story i feel very sorry and ignorant . Posted 09/26/09 by Adityan
The Sikhs were by far among the greatest victims of Islamic hatred and persecution for a span of a couple of centuries in northern India. It is highly ironic that they faced persecution in this country because people mistook them for Muslims. Posted 09/25/09 by Kev
This shows one problem with the journalists. From looking at the film, I would say this man was a Sikh, from India, not a muzlim or arab, as was stated in the film. Posted 09/25/09 by Danny
It’s so horrible that people can be so ignorant to go and kill someone that obviously had nothing to do with 9/11.
I wish the hate could stop.

Ingorance, suspicition, and fear of unknown make people do things that can not be understood or explained. I have black friends that in the 60’s in the south had trash thrown at them. I went to Catholic School in the “Southern Bible belt” and was threatened and yelled at when walking home from school in my uniform. The list of what is intolerable to some is never ending. I thought it is sad that this family came here to feel safety and for a period of time were able to. Then as a “snowball effect of hate”, two deaths. What is gang life but intolerance of others do to an area someone comes from, a color they wear or people who band together against others who amke them feel less safe to walk around. If everyone tries to retaliate, especially at the people who are not responsible more innocent people are effected. Hate is a very powerful force, so is fear. Crimes should be reported by the ones who watch them happen and the ones they happen to. If you stay silent, you can be equality guilty as the one who does the crime. Look at what just went down at the UN council with the Palestianians denouncing the facts about Hitler. We have to study the history of these things so they are not repeated and educate people so they don’t act out of ignorance. People who are around someone who rants and raves 10-12 hours at a time about hating someone or a group of some “type”, should say something to their boss or maybe suggest that person seek counciling before the crimes happen. It is empowering to stand up for truth and what is right; open monologue, debate and discussion help to teach another person a point a view they may otherwise never get to hear. There are pschycos in every faction of any group - be it religious, race, personal beliefs. Programs like this can help to bring progress. They were smart to go to the new school ahead of time. It doesn’t guarantee something wrong won’t still be said or done. But there will be more people to take a stand for what they belief is right than to be swung to the support of those who may be the loudest or strongest, or more feared. Posted 04/20/09 by nhr
