Thank you so much for allowing us to experience Lettura’s journey to New York and also for letting us experience a part of his world. What a wonderful film. Thank you so very much! Posted 11/13/09 by Lala
Yes...they develop strong friendships. I have Kenyans as co-workers..However, women are not treated like they should.

Hello Mr. Edwards, Lettura, etc. Thank you so much Mr. Edwards for being such a compassionate and patient man with Mr. Lettura and his tribe. I like things left the way God made them—original, untouched. We learn from watching these films that simplicity can bring happiness. May God give you longevity to do another heartfelt film like this one. Also good health to your family, as well. Posted 11/10/09 by E.G Bryant

Thank you Mr Edwards for bringing the natural and manufactured worlds together in a non catastrophic fashion. The beauty and simplicity of the human spirit, as found in lettura and his family, is so refreshing and gives the rest of us the reason to appreciate the little things in life. This is an amazing film! I have a great fascination and love for other cultures and this is one of the best films I have seen to date showing the amazing people of the Serengeti, and its vast beauty. How anybody can see such beauty in creation and not believe in the Creator is beyond my comprehension. Thank you to Anthony Edwards and his crew for bringing this wonderful project for all to see. Africa is a place where one can find peace and nature. I was born and brought up in Kenya. Thank you for sharing the glimpses of Serengeti. Planning to take my family again to Africa. Posted 11/08/09 by HECTOR
Thank you for helping on the recovery of what some of our ancestry did to some of our other ancestry which was a repeat of those who held Israel in captivity for almost 500 years. What was done to the Africans via the Western European nations in regards to the disgrace of murder, abuse, slavery, greed, lack of LOVE cannot be spoken with just a few words. It was not only the sins of their captors but also their own sins. Racism is still a part of many here in the Americas and around the world. The same evil appears to repeat itself in different ways. Rape, murder, abuse, abortion, hatred towards the fellow human being and the disregard of the sacred by those who have no faith and no believe that the GOD OF ABRAHAM , ISAAC AND JACOB IS THE CREATOR OF THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH continue and will continue until the second coming of the Messiah to the Earth. Only by the acknowledgement of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the acceptance of such plus the renewal of the mind with the word of God is the only and truely way to recovery. We still have to deal with the fact that in these last days - many will have a form of GODLINESS but will deny the power of GOD. THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST COVERS AND CLEANSES FROM ALL SIN. Very cool. I’ve been to the Mara and the Serengeti a number of times and I always love to see footage of the plains and the people. There is a vastness and a sense that you are in a place that’s virtually untouched by the hand of man. I can’t imagine running there! Good job. Posted 11/06/09 by Peggy
This was beautiful and heartwarming. Thank you all for sharing these very personal glimpses into a small but inspirational slice of humanity. Posted 11/06/09 by Patrick Maina
My accolades go out to Anthony Edwards for putting together this epic documentary that gives exposure to a people and culture so secluded in the rustic & pristine Kenyan natural habitat. I being a Kenyan having grown up in Nairobi and currently residing in Atlanta Georgia would like to commend you for your willingness and fortitude in your quest to learn, discover, intermingle and bring smiles & encouragement to a people although seemingly impoverished in secular parlance, rich in humility and humanity. Kudos to Lettura for being the quintenssential googwill Kenyan Maasai Ambassador. In the swahili vernacular I’d like to say “Asante Sana” (Thankyou Very much)for this edifying story. God bless Posted 11/06/09 by Kathy
This was truly heartwarming and inspiring from beginning to end. Absolutely LOVED it! I so appreciated Anthony’s willingness to do this - not only to give Lettura this amazing opportunity but also to film it and give us the opportunity to share in his journey.

This film is great. The happiness and kindess of these people who have very little is amazing. They know what makes you happy ... and it is nothing you OWN. |
