My nephew is a 12 year old low-functioning autistic boy. He cannot speak and he is in diapers. I’d give anything to hear his voice (aside from screaming and grunting, of course).

I agree that he is not autistic enough. I dont mean that to be rude but it seems George has a very nice life, without the struggles of severe autistic children. I expected and would rather see a documentary about what they go through, this documentary just seemed to be about a typical boy with a nice family. I failed to see how life was different than that of a regular child. None of his classmates seemed to notice anything different about him either, despite the fact that the filmmakers tried very hard to get them to say otherwise. I would trade George’s child hood for mine any day. Posted 11/22/08 by Lauren
