This along with Shark Week on Discovery Channel make my day. How can I help but be enchanted by the ocean and its many mysteries. Posted 06/27/09 by Jill
I saw this last week. Great whites are pretty amazing creatures. While I have a better understanding of them than I had before my basic idea is still that if I see one of these in the water I want to get out as fast as possible. I know humans are not their ideal prey but a few taste bites is more than enough. Jill Blog Posted 06/24/09 by espenbi
Hi! I look at the sharks here with joy. I was the first shark, as Superman2(you Ebys means makerofyou, the maker of Adam Ant with Pernille(my partbosses:=Per-Andre G.&Olaven;)) Posted 06/23/09 by cda
totally mesmerizing.............awesome Posted 06/23/09 by Giselle
I’ve been looking for a more appropriate (and less fear-inducing) educational video on great whites for a long time. This was exactly what I was looking for and the amount of things we’ve recently learned is amazing! beautifully done. Posted 06/22/09 by Joe
Absolutely amazing… Absolutely. Posted 06/22/09 by myra
I truly have a lot of respect for the shark. I know how people are so afraid. But if you look at them like I do you wouldn’t be. They were spook in to this world by God. Posted 06/22/09 by Johnny
very educational and extremely entertaining. I have been watching series on great whites for a long time. these creatures are very intelligent and often misunderstood. If more people were to watch shows like this I am sure taht the way you feel about the creatures would change. They do not kill for the fun of it, it is the way they survive. I do hope they continue to survive for a very long time Posted 06/22/09 by danielle
wow i never new this much about sharks before. Posted 06/22/09 by JOHN L.
fantastic film, i enjoyed every second. This magnificent animal in the past was given such a bad rap. Hunted and killed by humans for reasons of ignorance and fear. It does my heart good to know that the research continues and our growing knowledge of this truly awesome creature will prevent its extinction. It is truly a wonder of nature, and i express my heartfelt thanks to the people that made this excellent film. And please keep them comming.

I haven’t been as freaked out about the g.w. since I’ve gotten past movies like “Jaws” and others equally meant for entertainment only. I’m able to approach the water now and enjoy the waves! Thanks to film makers who educate rather than fabricate. Great work! Loved this piece. Posted 06/22/09 by GreatWhiteMako
They didn’t fully explain the different hunting patterns (bump & bite) or their migrational patterns. They can dive to amazing dephs and do so regularly. Overall, I loved it. The shots are amazing, and the information is solid. It’s different from other documentaries. Most people don’t understand that the seals are overpopulated and are limited naturally by both Great Whites, and Canadians with clubs. The shark is a graceful animal, perfectly evolved to its habitat and unchanged since far before the Dinosours ruled the land. It is the perfect predator. Tagging sharks is like graffiti, but cooler! AWESOME VIDEO! I wouldn’t be out in that row boat! Posted 06/20/09 by Rhoda
I really enjoyed this film, really brought the great white to life. I am still as frightened by them, but they are a magnificent creature, but how could God create anything that wasn’t in its own way. Watch the whole film every second is an educational wonder. Thankyou to you marvelous, courageous people who do this.. God Bless and stay safe. Rhoda Posted 06/20/09 by whitedeath
That is why I love the Greatwhite Posted 05/09/09 by 123456789

I thought the “Rare Shark” story was very interesting. So far I haven’t read any thing in quite while that has been found alive that is this old. My comment may be a bit tired as well as untidy, because I’ve been up more than asleep. Then people want to know what I do that keeps me awake for long periods of time? Gennerally, it’s chasing stories like this one and trying to get funded to go and shoot stories about about it so I can bring it to the publised on TV and you can see it, and second this is the type of work I love to do and I’d rather do this rather than sit around until I retire. I plan on taking photos and Filming until my life ends being happy. I hope be active until the last breath leaves my body and go with it to the next destination. Posted 04/08/09 by motherwolf172
awesome footage its great to see them finally looked at in a different light! Posted 04/05/09 by Robert Hancock
I liked it very much. I was particularly impressed by the speed in which the great white shark consumed the 500 pound seal. Posted 04/05/09 by karen
The sound is terrible! Very jerky and unable to understand. Is it me or you? |
