My main problems with illegal immigration are 1.) regardless of what you say, it is still illegal and although a long wait, there is a legal way to become a U.S.citizen. 2.) This country speaks ENGLISH. At my age, I don’t want to learn Spanish to be able to communicate, and 3.) If things are so bad where you live, why don’t you stay where you are and fix things there rather then bringing your problems here?

I am sick of people like “Dee” who speak out of total ignorance and hate. People like you always need a scapegoat to blame for your failure. In case you didn’t know, undocumented immigrants pay taxes too and they’re only here out of necessity. I think if your children were starving you might have more sympathy. The irony is that you probably call yourself a Christian. Please turn off your tv and go get a real education.

Of course it’s illegal “Tom Reid.” No one is saying it is not. In the film, one man in Mexico was specifically saying he was in the city of Alberto to stop the migration and convince people to stay. It’s a sham… Our people come to the states in search for a “better” life, una vida mejor; they find that hard work, crummy jobs, & greed fill that void.

It may be rough in Mexico as it is in other countries like that, but the only way to improve is to stay and work. Work for your country and help it flourish. I feel like native Mexicans are giving up and letting their people down.

Just as a disclaimer here, I do not know what they go through over there by personal experience. I have not been to the heart of Mexico since I was much younger. I am part of the first generation in my family; a Chicana if you will. I still have love for my family regardless and it is one of those situations where I cannot exactly choose sides. I acknowledge where immigration and migrations are coming from. And had I been born and raised in Mexico, I might possibly have a different opinion. Bottom line, there is no right or wrong. It is illegal to cross the border because WE make it illegal. By human Untied States of America standards. Not the standards of life. Humans fail to realize that what we believe is ‘right or wrong’ is based on how we were raised. Not solid proof most of the time. And I am at fault for that as well. The law is binding but we created it…

I AM SO SICK AT THE LACK OF ABILITY BY THE U.S. TO KEEP IT’S BORDERS CLOSED.  OUR COUNTRY IS IN A VERY BAD ECONOMIC STATE AND I KNOW A BIG PART OF THE PROBLEM COULD BE SOLVED IF WE PROTECTED OUR BORDERS BETTER AND SENT BACK ALL THE MEXICANS THAT ARE HERE ILLEGALLY.  THIS GROUP OF PEOPLE HAVE PUT SUCH A STRAIN ON OUR ECONOMY THAT IF THEY WERE NOT HERE THE BILLIONS OF AMERICAN DOLLARS THAT ARE NOW BEING SPENT TO FEED, EDUCATE KIDS, HEALTHCARE SYSTEM, PROCESSING CRIMINALS THROUGH OUR LEGAL SYSTEM, COULD BE HELPING GET THIS COUNTRY BACK ON IT’S FEET.  I RESENT THE ILLIGALS BEING HERE, I RESENT PAYING FOR THEM IN ANY WAY, I RESENT THE FACT THAT ONCE HERE THEY WON’T SPEAK ENGLISH WHILE IN OUR COUNTRY, I RESENT THE FACT THAT THEIR KIDS ARE BEING EDUCATED ON OUR SYSTEM AND THAT TEACHERS ARE BEING THREATENED WITH DISMISSAL IF THEY DON’T TEACH IN THEIR LAGUAGE (ESOL).

One little issue left out “IT"S ILLEGAL”!!!  Wouldn’t a better way be to go to a city in Mexico and build a community there.  Import& export goods, not people.

Needs to be on Main Stream TV(ABC, etc.) on both sides of the border to hopefully raise conscienceness about this situation.
