I can not understand why we are treated this way. No one cares to help no one cares that people lives are changed for ever and most can’t do any thing about it. Why can’t they rebuild and see that the ones that want to come back get back.

I stumbled on this film today while thinking about Katrina. I was living in Baton Rouge at the time and have been working in New York since. People still ask me what was it like as if it’s over and done. I feel most people think our country was slow to respond but all is well and good now. This was a great little film, please get it out there for people to see. Without the face of a real person like Louis NOLA will continue to be forgotten.  Excellent!

Very heart felt and I reachout with compassion to love one another and not look at just being of color. In Gods eyes we are all one color.

Stumbled upon this site and your movie by the grace of GOD!
Although watching the movie brought tears to my eyes and pain to my heart, almost four (4) years to the date of hurricane Katrina, I still shed tears and feel an overwhelming since of pain just thinking about my home and praying for the day to return to it.  I lived in the Gentilly section of the city and my block is has not revived.  The majority of my neighbors are not returning and have either sold to road home or lost their homes.  My husband and I are now fighting a number of medical problems and our return home has been very slow.  We are struggling with the high cost of medical insurance, doctor visits and unaffordable medications.  Not a day or hour goes by that I don’t think of home while my heart floods with pain and my eyes fill up with water.  I hope to return home someday in an upright standing position and not a flat position in a box.  Hope everyone continues to pray with us and for us, that those of us who own our homes and were tireless, taxpaying, upright citizens return home to the land we love and call NEW ORLEANS.  Thank you and GOD bless you for allowing me to see and hear a small portion of home.  If anyone reads my comments and you want to contact me, please feel free to email me.
