I love what these Brothers are doing with real Hip Hop culture. Passion and Consciousness is the essence - not image and shallow content. This is the Hip Hop I know, and it is the Hip Hop culture we represent at OldSchoolScholar.com

Nice hearing it start with rapper’s delight haha. Senegal can be a rough area and it’s great to see these guys capturing the essence of hip hop and bringing it back to its roots, moving away from the objectification of women that’s so pervasive today. The video really highlights the poverty that many of them can be living in. R&B;Guru of R&B;Haven and Soul Of R&B; Posted 04/04/09 by Leonloy
I loved it, I heard on this kind of stuff at a hiphop music community. Senegal is a good place for hiphop - Akon represent this place for the fullest. Posted 09/12/08 by Solo
hey, I dig it. I like the fact that there’s no lyrics objectifying women, glorifying violence or drugs in what they are putting out. And they are not just talking about living a rough life, it actually IS their life. Huge respect to all these brothers. Posted 08/24/08 by Lawrence LaRock
Excellent film. This seems to be a short version of the Democracy in Dakar film which I saw in Bermuda. If you like this, that is a more in depth with a political slant as well. Great stuff! Posted 07/18/08 by kim/ohradiogirl
This was cool. Short and to the point, but a conscious perspective. |
