Terrific short documentary on a truly great man. Posted 11/26/08 by RAMESH KR SHARMA
While writing these comments, I have still not watched the movie. I am of the firm view that whatever will be shown on this would be some thing exceptional because Messener, himself, too, is an exceptional climbing machines. Credit goes to him for opening chapter of alpine and solo climbing in the Himalayas. There are lot many climbers who are now following his foot steps, yet the leader will always be a leader. My head bows for whatever he has achieved in this life. In true sense, he not only climbed mountains, he has rather completely succeeded in overcoming the extreme mental and physical endurance of a human being. After completing the above para, when I again went to see the progress of buffering of the film, I find that the current film is currently not available and I can find more videos on video.aol.com. Nevertheless, I will definitely try to find out any thing and every thing about messener’s climbing. |
