By far the most inspiring thing I have seen in a long time! Posted 08/25/09 by The Ghost of Benny Leonard
Hi, I’m the ghost of Benny Leonard, legendary lightweight boxing champion of the 1920’s and 30’s and one of the toughest Jews ever to step into a ring. I just wanted to pop in here from the ether and say I liked this movie and this kid. He’s got a hell of a left hook. Posted 06/22/09 by Eduardo Saucedo
Very inspiaring documentry. I wish you the best Dimitry and keep those gloves up and that head up high bro. - Eduardo saucedo .....maybe not your biggest fan but A fan Posted 06/11/09 by guest_roscoeiii
Beautiful documentary. That is really all I can say without turning this post into an essay. -roscoeiii Posted 06/09/09 by Miri

August 2008
A lot of very exciting news to report:
Second, the film was acquired for New York regional broadcast by the MSG Network, New York’s premiere television sports network, and home of the New York Knicks, New York Rangers and Golden Gloves. The first broadcast will be Monday August 18th at 8 PM as part of an exciting lineup of boxing films broadcast every Monday night in August on “MSG at the Movies.” Films included in the Monday night line up are “Kings of the Ring,” “Requiem for a Heavyweight,” “Orthodox Stance,” and “Girlfight.” Special guest interviews are included along with each film so look for Dmitriy to give commentary at commercial breaks. MSG is Channel 27 on Time Warner Cable boxes but if you have another cable provider, check with them for channel information.
The following public screenings are coming up in the fall and many more in the works: Memphis (10/26), Amsterdam (11/5), Philadelphia (December 7), Sonoma County, Houston and Fairfield County, Connecticut. Many people have written to ask if the film is available on DVD. I’m excited to announce that Indiepix (http://www.indiepixfilms.com) will be distributing the DVD and we are close to finishing it. In the meantime, we have collaborated with SNAG Films, an innovative new venture from Ted Leonsis and his AOL team, to stream the film on the web. You can now watch ORTHODOX STANCE and other notable documentaries at http://www.snagfilms.com, and soon you will be able to click through to buy the DVD. As for Dmitriy, he is scheduled to fight at Madison Square Garden on November 8th on the undercard of the Roy Jones Jr. vs. Joe Calzaghe fight on HBO Pay Per View. We’ll send out a reminder as the fight draws near and you can visit Dmitriy’s website at http://www.dsalita.com. As always, thanks for your continued support of ORTHODOX STANCE. There are now many exciting ways to see the film and I greatly appreciate your help in spread ing the word!
All the best,
