Every single question the presenter asks is loaded. The situation is complex. It’s insulting to the viewers intelligence in the way that he perpetually tries to lure his guests from the food industry into making an ‘incriminating’ statement. Jennings’ investigation provides some interesting facts, but his arguments and depth of discussion are superficial. Posted 04/30/09 by jonathan

Eat right, exercise is the best way to diet. Don’t think of exercising and reward yourself with some fatty food, that’s just wasting your efforts. Also don’t buy unnecessary things. Eat only what you can eat, not for more and cheaper. Posted 03/18/09 by sara
Don’t blame the price of food for your obesity. your problem may be the food choices you’re making, your lack of exercise(?), and portion size not what you can afford. my family eats from donations and gov’t assistance and we’ve managed to avoid obesity and other health problems. when we can afford to shop, we buy store brand or generic whole wheat/whole grain bread, leaner cheese and deli meats, skim milk, canned veg & fruit, and lots of beans. we snack on canned fruit instead of chips, cookies, & candy, use canned veg & beans as sides to meals or toss in with rice or noodles and sometimes as the meal itself. we drink water and lots of it. we walk 30 minutes every day. it’s free and healthful choice. don’t give up and think you can’t afford to be a healthy weight. you can! I don’t think any goverment can stop people/kids getting bigger and fatter. I’m 14 and weigh 280 lbs. I’m only 5’4. I eat a lot and i’ve got a really big figure, but I don’t look ugly. I don’t really mind if I’m fat or obese, I’m happy the way I am!! If kids wanna eat, there gonna eat! Posted 02/13/09 by Claire
I love this video. I’ve been viewing it for some years with my nutrition students. I think Peter should win an Emmy for his work here. This message is vital. (sorry major Food Companies) Posted 01/14/09 by Michael
I’m fat. I make no claims otherwise. I also know that it is my fault that I am fat. It is my choice. The problem is that my choice is not based on dietary issues, but rather financial ones. I choose to save as much money as possible at the grocery store, because I need that money for other bills. That means that I tend to purchase the least expensive foods when I go shopping. That means that if healthy food were less expensive, that is what I would be eating. So what does that mean? It means that the choice is my fault, but the fact that I make that choice is directly influenced by the GMA and farm subsidies. So even though the choices are mine and my health is my own fault, I still place a huge amount of blame on policies that push me towards the choices I make. Posted 08/30/08 by Kyle
