Joe, I do believe that this Ballard dives in ‘86 were prior to the allowable “bringing up” of any artifacts. Ballard actually left a plaque at the wreck site regonizing it as a historical memorial.

This is an exceptional video. I have always been fascinated with the story of the Titanic tragedy. As a High School Literature I have incorporated a unit about the Titanic into my lessons. There is information presented here not heard or seen elsewhere. Posted 10/06/09 by Joe Arenson
I though certain things such as coins and other items were brought up from the sea, this film shows that notheing was brought up?Can you pls let me know thanks.Enjoyed the film Posted 10/06/09 by Susan McNair
why does it say in the section above named ABOUT, that the Titanic sank on April 14th? Has history been changed? Why is date different? This is very disconcerting. What else is being changed? Posted 10/06/09 by J McGhee
That was an excellent video. I learned new details that other videos and articles had not disclosed. It is a shame, however, that we do not have more actual photos from that period of time. Posted 10/06/09 by Mary Shelton
This is a great film and should be saved. I checked the films I have on Titanic and checked to see if this is one of them. I have the films put out by the History Channel. This film should be saved for the future of our young people who do not want to take part in the Lifeboat drills on the ships. Posted 10/06/09 by Vanesssa

please respect the memories of those that perished that fatal day. they would want everyone to see these things young and old alike. i have not yet had the honor to visit any exhibit as i would love to. but i have been to a merritime museum and the wonder of seeing these old ships and battilons in the glory that they sailed is beyond words for me to speak and to think that some stuffy up shirt can own anyones history is very disturbing to me. so please judge allow these precuis items to remain accsessiable to all that is able to view them. thank you Posted 03/24/09 by Michael
What an excellant film. I had the honors of seeing items of the Titanic a few years ago @ the science museum in Cleveland Ohio. We studied this tragedy back in my school days many years ago. It was a very toching thing both in mind & soul to see these items. The Titanic items should not be the property of anyone but the museums so that they can be cherished by all, & not be sold to anyone or to any company. All remanents should be treated as a memorial throughout eternity to one & all. May God bless all in this tragedy & to the scientists to honor this great ship in the way that they have. i love the titanic movie.it’s real sad about all the people that were lost on this ship.my husband and i went to the titanic exhibit a few years ago in orlando, florida. it was really amazing. it looked just like the really thing. we also went to the denver museum in denver, colorado where they had an exhibit you could walk through and see all the artifacts, it was so amazing. it was so crazy to see all the things that came off of the titanic. i just could not believe it. when we were at the exhibit in orlando we were at the end of the tour.we got to the list of people that died and the ones that lived.come to find out going through the list my husband abe found his last name on the list which is howell. i thought that was pretty crazy. i wonder if he could be related to that person that was on that ship titanic. the titanic will never be forgotten and neither will the people that sailed that beautiful ship they called titanic. |
