It is sickening that this man died in vain, and spent all the energy he had left looking around the world for these paintings which are either destroyed or hidden. It saddens me he was deprived of this happiness.

Wonderful idea for recovering stolen art!! Alas, the film stops mid-way and then reverts back to the beginning. However, saying that, what I do like is the idea of film and putting on the internet or public television to highten awareness. In my case I spent years in Southeast Asia and watch many many Vietnames and Cambodian treasure vanish without a trace.

This is as interesting a caper as one could imagine. With Harold, the investigator, and Isabella S. Gardner and her museum in the background, one couldn’t imagine more interesting, arresting, or colorful characters in a film. We need these paintings back-Titian-Vermeer-unbelievable. I admire the filmmakers hopeful attitude trying to actually solve this crime. Any update? |
