As a child I watched many Western movies with my Dad. Did any western movies have a story line about the Loomis Gang? Posted 08/19/09 by Phuck the loomis

i am the great great granddaughter of amos plumb and have just been recently learning about the loomis gang due to family history. My father just passed away back in 2007, and we often asked him about the gang but wouldnt say much about it except for that me and my sisters are a granddaughters of amos. so hearing and watching this docematary is great.it also helps me to understand my passion for horses and have been that way all my life. I used to live in Onieda, but now in TX so i do let people know of my great great grandfather. Posted 05/26/09 by Louis Barile

Just came across this film after talking about the Loomis Gang to some of my friends. Our family too lived for a time in Waterville NY, Our house stood on Frog Park Road and Barnes Rd, and we lived there in the 70’s. My sister graduated from Waterville High in 76 and I in 80. Wish I had heard your name in this, we probably went to school together. While living in the house we found proof that Wash Loomis had our home built and we found various artifacts in the barn. I found a wanted poster for the Loomis Gang that I still have framed. At the end of Frog Park Rd in Stockwell you will find an old cemetery and Wash Loomis is buried there along with some other Loomis’. I used to visit the cemetery often when I was living there in the 70’s. The graves I hope are still there. I moved back to the south shortly after I graduated High School but my sister and her family live in Clinton now. It was nice seeing the video of Waterville and the memories it brought back. I remember the old historical society building and celebrating the 100 year anniversary of Waterville. I still have that book also. Sorry to see that building is now gone. I use to march in the Color Guard for the Fire Dept in the firemans parades. I wish you could tell me more about your family. Thank you again. Posted 02/23/09 by vicki Treen
I am a relative of the loomis gang my grandmother was Colista Loomis her mother was Louise Decker and Father George Washington Loomis, they had a total of 17 children 10 of which died. The names I have are of the living children including my grandmother Colista, her sisters Emma, Ella, Isabella and brothers Walter and George. I have very little information on my families history and what the direct relation ship is to the loomis gang. I would like to know more or get assistance from the historical society of waterville to research this family tree further. Posted 02/18/09 by Pamme Swan
I too am amazed that the Loomis Story hasn’t been filmed by a larger film company! I’m grateful to have found this video!
