Posted July 31, 2009 CALL FOR ENTRIES CINE Golden Eagle Awards Competition for Fall 2009. Visit www.cine.org to enter. The CINE Golden Eagle Competition is a prestigious, half-century-old competition based on peer recognition of excellence in film, television, video and new media. CINE accepts a broad range of non-theatrical professional, independent and student productions in a variety of categories including documentary, news, children’s programs, history, arts, science, educational, business/industrial, new media, PSAs and commercial spots, and much more. Past recipients of the CINE Golden Eagle Award include Steven Spielberg, Ken Burns, Ron Howard, Mike Nichols, Albert Maysles, Martin Scorsese, and many other distinguished members of the film and television industry. In the Spring 2009 Competition, organizations such as Discovery Communications, History, WGBH, NBC, CBS, National Geographic, Thirteen/WNET and many others received the CINE Golden Eagle Award. Last year, CINE Award-winning independent and student filmmakers received scholarships and product grants from CINE sponsors. In addition, Golden Eagle Award recipients may be eligible for online distribution on CINE’s channel through sponsor SnagFilms. CINE begins accepting entries for the Fall 2009 Competition on July 1, 2009. Those who enter by the early bird deadline on August 1 will receive a discount; all entries are due by August 15.
