In Their Words

Through the generous support of the Eureka Foundation, we have made over 40 episodes of Great Museums for public television. This episode about the Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum, in Cooperstown, NY, was a particular joy for me, from start to finish, because I am, and have always been, a fan of "the game." It's a classic example of an institution that combines very specific and professional expertise in one particular subject, in this case, Baseball, along with American history. At the heart of it, the Baseball Hall of Fame tells the story of 19th and 20th century America through the prism of a game. And, it's not just any game; it's America's Game!
