A documentary about a community of people that grew out of the volunteer effort at Ground Zero after 9/11In the wake of the World Trade Center attacks, New Yorkers from all walks of life felt compelled to overcome their sense of powerlessness by volunteering to help out in the recovery effort. They brought in supplies, set up relief stations, and for ten months fed and cared for the recovery workers. Many deep and unexpected, even unlikely relationships developed as a result.

it upsets me so much, after all that NY suffered that day and the days and weeks follow, and how NY pulled together so much. to have the rebuilding take so long and not to have a glorious memorial for the families to go to is obsene. the people of NY are the greatest, but politions are a bunch of idiots. give us a memorial FOR GODS SAKE.
