Viewers get a rare inside look at footage of fracking flowback water, the toxin-laden waster that gushes out of natural gas wells. Residents of Pennsylvania believe flowback has threatened their groundwater aquifers and some scientists have blame it for minor earthquakes. In this episode we interview Dr. Radisav Vidic, a civil engineer who works closely with the shale gas industry in Pennsylvania on environmental and recycling issues. Vidic gives us access to an industry recycling plant and explains the potential hazards of recycling operations and what it might mean for the state.
