Blind Spot is a cogent sounding impressively informative look into the guts of why global trade and the West’s penchant for purchasing everything on credit all the while being able to ignore that species are going extinct at an alarming rate, that we are creating an unlivable world by continuing to use petrol at an alarming rate, that we are at war over oil in the Middle East using Middle Eastern oil against its own people, that when the backlash from this over-consumptive jag that Americans have been on for nearly a century actually hits, it will hit hard and sudden.  For instance, the fresh water ice sheets sitting on continental shelves are melting at an alarming rate, and if the worst possible scenario is forthcoming, ocean water levels could rise as high as seventy five feet above their current levels.  Yikes!  If you listen and watch this film, it could change your life, but I know that it will definitely put a pit in your stomach.

I love how blind the citizens/consumers I fight for can be, got to love America. As a Senior Airman (E4) I have to admit peak oil is true! To the blind, if it was not true, why are major oil corporations spending billions and billions to find new sources? You got to laugh when you hear, “drill baby drill,” when that’s what we’ve been doing for the past 40 years and came up short. We’ve been giving billions of tax dollars to the oil corporations to find out they discovered only 30-800 million barrel sites that dry up within a few months to a few years(Alaska was our reserve site but its close to peak). Why is this the governments #1 agenda? Answer, because its a real problem! Every continent is now using oil/oil products/vehicles even Africa and there is not enough to go around, period! If you can’t find it, then take it. For the people that think we have so much oil then find it, refine it, then try to sell it for a low price; don’t forget to stay in the black after you spend the billions locating it and if enough, making it usable. Also to enlighten you after we have possession of a certain country’s resources, we are not only going to use it for our advantage, but also sell it. In order to sell it, we have to consume less. Did a light come on in your head yet! July 27, 2048 oil will be a thing of the past for civilians and only used by the military(aka go green). You can ether except the truth and adapt or fall behind, your choice. The GOP had this planned during the 60’s when they knew the US Oil would peak in the 70’s. Our CIA put someone in power to make sure that his country’s people don’t use their own resources and export its resources for us to use for a low price. To bad he tried to change gears at the end and tried to become an independent nation and use the oil for his own people, we put a stop to that. Funny how that country had nothing to do with a major attack, but the one on the right not the middle did and was ignored for sometime during our nation building. Maybe the nation in the middle was at war with the nation on the left to try to take our claimed resources. While there fighting lets take back the left, heck the one on right did attack us, or was it a group, who cares. Lets take the right and left then stop trade to the one in the middle, take all there resources/trade route and sell our way out this debit(hint us a map I.I.A.). I learn all I needed to learn at Camp Anaconda and out in the field, Good-luck!

Wow, I’m in college and from a humble upbringing. The separation between the two is astounding. Learning about these issues really makes me wonder just what to do with myself. I think everybody needs to see these sorts of informative docs., the leadership especially. Me, well I know what they mean about our habits changing and whatnot, I can actually feel myself getting dumber, maybe it’s all these gadgets doing something to our heads.
