Dying to Have Known

1hr 20min | 2009
In DYING TO HAVE KNOWN, filmmaker Steve Kroschel went on a 52-day journey to find evidence to the effectiveness of the Gerson Therapy - a long-suppressed natural cancer cure. His travels take him across both the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans, from upstate New York to San Diego to Alaska, from Japan and Holland to Spain and Mexico. In the end, he presents the testimonies of patients, scientists, surgeons and nutritionists who testify to the therapy's efficacy in curing cancer and other degenerative diseases, and presents the hard scientific proof to back up their claims. You will hear from a Japanese medical school professor who cured himself of liver cancer over 15 years ago, a lymphoma patient who was diagnosed as terminal over 50 years ago as well as noted critics of this world-renowned healing method who dismiss it out of hand as "pure quackery." So the question that remains is, "Why is this powerful curative therapy still suppressed, more than 75 years after it was clearly proven to cure degenerative disease?" The viewers are left to decide for themselves.

I experienced healing with Dr Hsu natural healing which is very close to Dr Gerson. I do believe in the foods that are even listed in the Bible healing us today as well as they did in Biblical days. I have been neglect in continuing to follow this healthy diet. This film has encouraged me to go back to the basics. Thank you.

The comments by Dr. Dean Edell in the film and Eric Raum in these comments make me. sick! 10 years ago my wife was diagnosed with Adeno Carcinoma inside her mouth. (verified by biopsy and lab report). I was vaguely aware of the Gerson therapy and I. bought the book to become more informed. I read the book in 2 days and my wife and I. decided we wanted to do the therapy. I told my wife that my brother had radiation from. tongue cancer and was badly scarred on his face and had to have ALL his teeth crowned. because of the damage to his teeth from the radiation. I remember asking the oncologist. if radiation could actually cause cancer later on down the road? I remember him saying. that "we usually only see that happen with thyroid cancer" as if it was Okay to have. thyroid cancer in the future. I informed the Oncologist that we wouldn't be needing his. services and he got quite visibly upset. I remember him saying "radiation is absolutely, positively, unequivocally the right thing to do!" My wife's ear, nose and throat doctor. who performed the surgical biopsy was also quite perplexed as to why we were refusing. the radiation. When we got home from the ENT doctor, I ordered the Norwalk juicer, the enema bucket, supplements and we started the Gerson Therapy. We are both. believers in Yahushua (aka - Jesus) and did a lot of praying during this time. I did the. therapy with my wife so there would be no temptations in the house to cheat. The therapy is NOT easy! It really is almost like a full time job. It is hard work to cut the vegetables. and juice the carrots, apples and greens. The coffee enema's are no big deal and we. actually learned to look forward to them due to their relaxing effect. We did the therapy. exactly as it is laid out in the book except for some of the more expensive supplements. Especially after shelling out $2000 for the Norwalk juicer. (Expensive, but worth its. weight in Gold!) I saw many benefits to the Gerson Therapy also. My weight dropped. 25 pounds in 3 months and then stabilized in the high 170's. My blood pressure went. from high/normal to Athletic (105/65) My standing heart rate went from high 70's to low. 60's. Pain that I had in my hips disappeared and a few Lipoma's ( fatty benign tumors). disappeared. I felt great and had a lot more energy throughout the day. My wife went. back to the ENT doctor once a year for three years to have CAT scan and checkup. Each time the ENT doctor was surprised to see my wife doing and looking great. After year 3. he said we only needed to come back if we noticed anything abnormal. We stopped the. Gerson therapy after 3 years but we still eat lots of salad, vegetables, fruits, and we juice. with the Norwalk juicer about once a week. We do eat meat ( mostly chicken) once in a. blue moon. My wife has never been back to the Ear, Nose and Throat doctor. Once again, the Therapy is hard to do and you cannot take short cuts, cheat and expect to be. healed. Even cheating a little bit will sabotage any progress you have made. If you are. not too sick, you can do the therapy alone, but in my opinion you cannot do it and work a. job and also expect to get healed. If you have cancer you will need to get your rest in. I worked while my wife stayed home with our toddler and did the therapy. She would give. me juice to take to work in Mason jars. BTW, my sister-in-law was healed from breast. cancer with a similar therapy (Dr. Day). Hope this helps someone. Do your research! Be informed.

I would like to offer a balanced perspective on the Gerson Therapy. Dealing with cancer in my own family, I came across this approach. At first, I was excited to see something 'alternative' that seemed to have some foundational basis in science. Unfortunately, as I dug deeper, I simply could find no survivors. Every study I read, every 5 year follow up, no one was cured. No one chose Gerson over traditional medicine and lived. Those who had claimed to have been cured followed the Gerson diet while also following traditional medicine. This is painted as 'suppression' but in reality, it can't be operated in the US as a medical facility because there are no medical studies confirming its effectiveness to cure cancer. Not to say there have not been official studies conducted, but no independent, peer reviewed studies, have had the outcome show a cure for cancer. Howard mentions that medical studies are set up so that only medicine can be tested, but this isn't so... The true test is this: Patients choose to follow Gerson Diet instead of traditional medicine, those patients do not survive. That is a metric that is easily analyzed.

In addition, part of the reason that this cannot be practiced in the US is the proclamation of coffee enemas as a medical practice has proven dangerous and sometimes fatal.

With hundreds of patients a year at these clinics, the data is there. The survival rate is there. If this cured cancer, they would have hundreds of case studies readily available. You will not find numbers like this anywhere on their site.

A coworker of mine was cure of testicular cancer with this "dangerous practice" that you are attacking, he still here 10 years later.... But of course you are going to deny this ... the proof is there if you really want to see.

Great documentary by Steve Kroschel. Thank God that more and more people are seeing the shortfall of our medical system in this country and are consequently applying what is being learned to their own life styles.
