  that doctor's a bit biased. i was addicted for about 4-5 years and i've been clean for about 2 and a half years now and i didn't have to move to a different city. the important factor is in the mind.

  To Kube: Just because every H addict that you know has a major disaster or issue in their background, doesn't mean that everyone or even the majority does. I had an amazing childhood. Never been molested or abused. The bottom line is that people do what feels good. Opiates make people feel amazing, it's that simple. anything that makes humans feel good has the power to become addictive if not done in moderation. Hell a chocolate bar has the power to ruin lives when not consumed in moderation. Pleasure is the biggest contributer of addiction. But it is as simple and far more complex then that too. Ibogaine is available where I live although it never worked for me, I think the reason it didn't was because i didn't do it properly in a good setting, also i had closer to 2 grams. it made e quite ill. I would try it again, but under a proper setting with profesionals like the clinic shown in this video. Excellent video.

  drugs are a coping mechanism used to help people who cannot deal with the extremity of emotion. pot and drinking is social and peer induced. heroine is used to shut your emotional growth down at the age you start to use. anything that can get you back to that situation and force you to view it, Ibogaine included, is the best thing for anyone. you realize that you didn't die back then and you may still have a chance to see the sun shine again.

  Smitty is wrong about the causes of addiction: every H addict I know has a major disaster or issue in their background. Its not a form of recreation, its a form of suicide. Anyway though, the biggest problem for any addict is to get off in the first place and there is nothing like ibogaine to do that. It saved my life. Any film that shows the stupidity of preventing access to it has to be loudly applauded.

  I think Tara didn't finish watching the Movie before she commented. Looks like the Ibogaine Association needs a Aftercare Treatment Center in the US. It's pretty much a waste of time and money if they former addicts are sent back to where they can get access to the heroin again. Miight need to Treatment center in Alaska or somewhere else secluded that's away from major cities. After that, they'll have to depend on themselves.

  I agree with Jenny I don't know what film you watched. Tara! Why do we need to know how they got hooked! It can be only one of three things. 1.Peer pressure 2.Curiosity 3.Low self esteem. Take your pick! I think they showed an alternative treatment and how drugs can diffidently destroy your life and your love ones around you.

  Is this a pharmacuetical advertising film? Its starts well and then dissappears.........and then comes back again. More needed to show how other treatments dont work and how these people got hooked in the first place. Not enough foundation and then just zip to the miracle drug. Not a well built documentary.

  Lately, I don't know what movie you watched but, the movie I just saw was totally the opposite of what you described!? It is my personal experience that a spiritual awakening is the only way to a clean and sober future. Nothing worked for me except for a relationship, deep, honest and true, with my higher power. I thank God that this doesn't exist in my life or in my future. I am so grateful that I survived it. Best wishes to all those who are still suffering. You are in my daily prayers.

  It would really be a good film had they given all the facts. They make it look so easy. Pop a couple of pills and POOF you're healed. Just sleep through it. That's not exactly true. People have died from this procedure. I think that is a very important fact, don't you? Plus there can be misery while kicking using ibogain, ....Obviously this is a propaganda movie promoting ibogain business. I believe ibogain has something great to offer, but more work needs to be done with it before it's experimented upon people as if they have it all figured out.
