The only sightless person to ever reach Everest's summit, Weihenmayer is the author of the 2001 memoir "Touch the Top of the World: A Blind Man's Journey to Climb Farther Than the Eye Can See."

My 3rd Grade class at the Apalachicola Bay Charter School, in Apalachicola, FL read a story in our reading curriculum about Erik, "Becoming Anything He Wants to Be". We were very inspired by his story!! The movie was a very true depiction of the experience! Words do not describe how much my students enjoyed the movie!! We also were very inspired to always be thankful for the blessings in our lives! Thank you for sharing this amazing experience with us!!! Best wishes and blessings for your next adventure! The blind man in this film is very courageous. It is amazing what one can do, when they put their mind to it. This Awesome film blows the lid off of Racist Stereotypes about Blind People. A real Must See!
