With its parade of pimps, madams, hustlers, call girls, informers and cops, you quickly catch on that nothing can be trusted. Everybody lies. Its 'Rashomon' deep-fried in sleaze. Hypnotic and wretchedly funny. Like many of the people Broomfield approaches, they take stock of his milquetoast manner and underestimate him... big mistake...
