  norm put together a great film on what a songwriter goes thru. he has alot of fun and is sincere in his search for direction. i enjoyed his writing and his directing of this film and he has shown another talent on his great list of talents for a young man. bravo!!!!

  Wow, this was a LOT of fun...fun in not only the funny way, but in a very interested and interesting way. I really liked the way all the folks Norm talked to and worked with, seemed to be giving him the very best advice and encouragement, realistic and measured....and heartfelt. I really liked Nerd Boy! What a Hoot... To hear of the background of Norm's music education was also very insightful, and poignant... I AM his maternal aunt,and, I have been to, and been inspired by, his Home in the Hills back East...and I know the principal players THERE too.... I've know for years that Norm is way cool when it comes to technical know-how, innovation, passion, enthusiasm, and genuineness, therefore, I can honestly say that I know how much he must have enjoyed working with ALL the players involved in this really neat film! Bravo !!! AND, best wishes to all the aspiring "stars" featured here as well.

  I have to write this review quickly because my 3 year old son is fighting me for the use of this computer...I didn't expect to even watch this film...I am a jaded filmmaker but I still give this joint 5 stars...I love the realism here and the raw un-tricked out storytelling.... It showed the sacrifice an artist makes and makes me feel good about the ones I have made while reaching an almost impossible dream...Norm put himself on the line for us by exposing his own aspirations... he teaches us the importance of art and music...to tell a story about the dreams all us artists have and most of us have given' up on. Pop music culture avoids this raw underbelly. It is dirty compared to the corporate gloss that packages everything today....To make it in music today may be the hardest road there is because there is no road. I especially love the genuine places and peops it took me to. The culmination of the voices from the shadows of the music scene is alone an educating and entertaining experience. Anyone with a dream to move an audience with a song or a film or a painting or a writing must see this film as part of their vulnerable journey. Music is food for the soul so thanks for helping people realize this...Way to go Norman.

  I found this documentary to be totally First Class right from the start. It is sincere, unaffected and very well put together by all those involved. The interviews with individuals and groups are tremendously heartfelt and honest; full of raw experience and good advice. Norm Anderson is compassionate and realistic. He adds the perfect touch of humor. With a lot of hope and a lot of believing, it is never too late to do what you want in life. I am Norm's Mom. This fact has nothing to do with my comments. I give this film the highest rating.

  I am absolutly n love with this film, it's just what i needed to see and hear at this time in my life! I can not belive I am the only one commenting on this film, it is genious. I enjoyed his journey to find his own sound in music because Ihe am on the journey myself and have been for 10 yrs or more, I have not gotton far. I have 2 little kids and regret not taking the time before to have the courage to do more open mic nights. Right all I do is record my songs from my webcam at home and post them on youtube....thats about it, but I want the big dream, I am still holding on and hoping that someone somewhere will want to sign me after seeing my youtube videos. I wish I could just get out there and perform with other artists, but because I have kids, this stops me. Please go on youtube and look up my music...anyone, look up Gypsy Rose that is my stage name and also on FaceBook as Gypsy Rose. Give me a chance!!!!!
