I WANT TO TELL YOU SOMETHING is an emotional family story. While four-year-old Oskar has been deaf since birth, his twin brother Leo's hearing is perfect. Leo is being brought up bilingual, with sign language and spoken language. The director is himself fluent in sign language, which entails to a direct and close documentation of the brother's discoveries and learning processes. The film examines what the diagnosis "deaf" means to Oskar's hearing parents, Sandra and Stefan. Two parents. Two different reactions. And the challenge to raise the whole family in a foreign language.
