Ice Challenger

Ice Challenger
48:00 | 2002

Categories: Documentary, Action, Science and Environment

This documentary explores the first crossing of the frozen Bering Strait from Alaska to Russia in a land-based vehicle. In the third attempt at the crossing, British adventurer Steve Brooks did it in his Snowbird 6 vehicle—the ultimate SUV that is capable of driving on the frozen ice, crossing the open sea, and mounting and leaving huge frozen ice pans—all in minus 40 degree temperatures.
