KRISIS is a one hour documentary film and the result of a process of creative collaboration where a group of 14 photojournalists and videographers shot a collective documentation of Greece during the economic crisis during the end of 2010 and all through 2011.
Starting from agitated, demonstrating Athens, the journalists went around the country, from the border with Turkey to central Greece and to the inhospitable mountains of southern Crete to collect their stories. Krisis is the synthesis of these different stories into a documentary that explores how Greece and the Greeks are handling the crisis. Krisis explains well to a foreign audience some of Greece's 20th century history as history is so important to explain the present and is not void of self-critism to explain why Greece is today in the situation it is in.
Made by experienced videographers and photo-journalists, Krisis is a testament to how creativity an innovation can occur in the darkest of hours.
As advances in technology increase the flow of goods and services worldwide, the resulting surplus seems to only exacerbate wealth inequities. Learn More »
