Oh, yeah—I suppose you’re asking us to believe that your kids have never heard the f-word anywhere but in this film!  Uh-huh.  Anyway, I have seen this movie several times.  It’s one of my favorites. Does anyone else get the impression that in casting the play, they really didn’t care about the kids’ facial features?  Still, a great movie.  Beware of stage mothers!!!!

why couldn’t they get Andrea McCardle? she was the original Annie...was she not interested? or maybe felt the perspective was too negative - it definitely comes across that some of these women were scarred by the experience. But the majority have very fond memories, including Sarah Jessica Parker, who was in it when I saw it..I was 11 years old! hahaaha

It’s a story about how adults who once played Annie were socially and psychologically affected by hitting a pinnacle of fame so early in life. That there wasn’t more cursing is shocking. Maybe next time research a film’s subject matter before watching it with children in the first place.
