If you were on point A and you wanted to get to point B but every time you take a step forward you go two steps back would you ever get there?
American & German WWII veterans meet 55 years later in the battlefield where they once fought. The battle of the Huertgen Forest was one of the bloodiest of World War II. American and German forces suffered in excess of 60,000 casualties over a freezing six-month winter campaign. For the soldiers who survived, memories of the horror of that battle have continued to this day. This is the true story of a battlefield reunion of American and German soldiers nearly 55 years after they fought in the Huertgen forest. This time they meet in the spirit of reconciliation, but vivid memories from the war and unanswered questions are never far beneath the surface.

If we could have met on common ground before the wars, think of the lives that would have been saved. I served with the 8th infantry division in Mannheim germany, during peace time from May of 1963 to may of 1965.My dad served in world war two and fought in the huertgen forest.i am now 70 and retired from general motors.a very moving and emotional piece of work. That is nice! Some people really would like to be an Oscar Meyer wiener. Well, Oscar Meyer is currently jumping on the promo giveaway bandwagon, and they are giving out free hot dogs. That’s right, free hot dogs from Oscar Meyer (some would rather get free bratwurst w/sauerkraut and stone ground mustard, but we won’t be ingrates), all you have to do is sign up on their website and you ought to get a coupon in the mail for a package of free hot dogs. No short-term loan required. If you wish you had some Oscar Meyer wieners, you won’t need debt relief, just the free coupon. |
