It is a sad commentary on our times when children are bullied for being different. However, this bullying has become worse from when I was in junior high school and was bullied and abused for being different. I was not and am not gay but I relate because people had labeled me as gay when I was in middle school. I guess I am lucky that my teachers were a bit more sensitive. Maybe because it was junior high school and children are just coming into their own. Anyway, thanks for telling the story of CJ. My hat is off to him, his mom, and all the people in Oil City that are forcing Oil City to grow and change. Tolerance can only happen when we remind people that everyone deserves respect to be who they are and love who they want. Thank you for this most important documentary. It is a very important film that needed to be told.

This is an important film. It not only tells the stories of various people who have experienced hatred because of their sexual orientation but also the story of a community whose members (at least some) experience a change of heart and mind. If it can happen in Oil City, Pennsylvania, it can happen in your community as well.

I think thought movie was really close to my heart. Also being a gay teen and going to almost all African American school. I can can relate to something to me. I come out to only only my best friend. He never turned me for being who I am. He said That I am glad you are being true to how you are. I really liked the movie in many ways.
