Red Bull Ride to the Hills features the best freeride FMXers competeing on natural terrain in two distinctly different areas of the Southwest United States. The format of the competition includes a scout day to prep bikes and scout the terrain, followed by a practice day where the riders break into two groups in order to narrow down the best lines and prepare for the final day of riding and filming. Onsite, edited video segments allowed the riders to view and determine winners of specific areas. Freeriding was born from riders seeking a new style of riding, and that's all that matter in this competition - style.
