Angela, I heard that you were writing the screenplay and then making an upcoming movie about BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) and I had to watch your movie. I have devoted my life to volunteer work and recently BACA and thought myself fortunate that I myself have never experienced all of that myself. However, as I think more and more about it, way too many women in my life have. From subtle comments from past girlfriends to actaully experiencing the mother of one girlfriend tear her room to shreads right in front of me because she forgot to wash a single washcloth with the rest of the towels, it happens way more often than most of us realize. I commend you for bringing these issues to light and sharing yours with us. I just hope that your movies, old and new, continue to bring light to abuse and help us break the chain of abuse by empowering those that have experienced it.

I just purchased your book 2 days ago in the dollar store! Can you believe it?! I just finished reading it today and I was so excited to purchase the documentary then I discovered I can now watch it for free online! I am so excited that I literally can’t stand it! I have to go to work in 30 minutes but I feel like calling in just so I can stay home to watch! You have no idea what impact you have already had on my life in just 2 days! When I finished the book I immediately went on the http://www.findingangelashelton.com web site and saw so many links. Somehow I ended up on You Tube and saw the movie trailer. As I watched each character I had just read in the book speak before my very eyes, it was like I could just reach out and touch each one of them personally by name! The connection was out of this world! I don’t even know where to begin! I am a survivor of incest, rape, and domestic violence. I have forgiven the perpetrators and I’m getting better and better everyday with knowing and understanding and liking who I am. Like you I am determined to help as many women including myself to know that they are not alone and they do not have to live with insecurity, fear, guilt and shame for the rest of their lives. You are a true angel and I am so glad to be a part of this movement! I can’t wait to share!

WOW.....that was absolutely powerful, moving and inspiring! You have done a fabulous job on this. Kudos to you for confronting the perp! All I want to say to you is, “You need to forgive him in order to move on. By no means, does forgiving him, mean in any way that what he did was right! It just means that YOU will no longer let him be in control of your daily thought process, nor will you carry his baggage around for one more second!!! God Bless You!!
