The story of how Tom Delay stole the U.S. Congress. The story of how Tom Delay stole the U.S. Congress. It’s the story of one of the most blatant power grabs in American history, and how a District Attorney in Texas turned out to be the biggest threat to the national DeLay Machine. The film is a warning about how easy it is for American democracy to be hijacked by a combination of relentless ambition and corporate millions. It makes the case that DeLay built a “custom-made Congress” that is still providing votes for his agenda. The Big Buy: Tom Delay’s Stolen Congress

The amazing thing through this all is none of these people defending Delay had the slightest bit of shame in justifying his actions. They all had the appearances of propriety, well-dressed, well-groomed, well-spoken, well-fed. Just like the bankers’ lawyers today, the lawyers for AIG, and the Republican lawyers that work for them in our Congress. Even Bush refused to admit that things might not be proper; he had no shame. Surely, for all the law and order drumbeating, none of them have any “fear of consequence.” The Love of Money is truly the root of all evil. These people are EVIL. When they stand before God they will surely say the same things. “For such are false apostles, transforming Themselves as Ministers of Righteousness, and no surprise, for SATAN transforms himself as an Angel of light.” II Corinthians 11:13-14. Yessiree, Bob, no fear of consequence; nobody went to jail, the money was all well spent, and they are all on the back nine of the best golf courses laughing at what suckers the average Americans are to put up with it all, knowing too well they can do it again and get away with it. Americans have lost their sense of sensitivity for justice, their will to fight back, and the collective outrage at such abuses that should rally them to demand prison sentences. Just another day in America. Just wait until the Chinese call in the redemption of the trillions in U.S. government securities they now hold. Would you sell your assets to your avowed enemy?? We did under the Republicans of the past 25 years. And they are all sworn “conservative Christians.” And just how did Wall Street Sell Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae mortgage bundles as “U.S. Gov’t securities?” Freddie and Fannie are not U.S. Government entities at all. Seems a good lawyer could file a fraud suit for that charade. The U.S. Gov’t paid out $5.33 trillion for that, all cash, to China ($2.3 trillion), 3 Arab countries ($1.7 trillion) and the rest to France and Germany. Total, with the $700 billion to US banks, a whopping $6 trillion dollars, two thirds of the gross American economy for one year. It is almost over, we prostituted ourselves for a fist full of dollars and forgot the morals and ethics of Godly society. Just as with ancient Israel, the pain of repentence or wrath is before us. What will we choose?? Where are the prophets calling for us to stop immediately or face loss of all and exile?? The “conservative Christians/Republicans” have put them prison or killed them. |
