This award-winning documentary tells the fascinating story of Baseball Hall-of-Famer Hank Greenberg, as told through archival footage and interviews with teammates, friends, family and Jewish and non-Jewish fans. As a first baseman with the Detroit Tigers, Greenberg was one of the premiere power hitters of his generation, appropriately nicknamed "Hammerin' Hank." His power at bat helped propel the Tigers to major league dominance in the 1930s. At the same time, Greenberg fought anti-Semitism, and emerged a hero and source of inspiration throughout the Jewish community.
