

The story of Baseball Hall-of-Famer Hank Greenberg as told through archival film footage and interviews with Jewish and non-Jewish fans, teammates, friends, and family. As a first baseman with the Detroit Tigers, Greenberg was one of the premiere power hitters of his generation, appropriately nick-named "Hammerin' Hank." His power at bat helped propel the Tigers to major league dominance in the 1930s. At the same time, Greenberg fought anti-semitism, and emerged a hero and source of inspiration throughout the Jewish community.
