  this is the most despicable half hour of name-calling and smoke in mirrors i have ever been subjected to in my life. the people who made this film should be ashamed of themselves for promoting some a radical hatred of people for their united religious practices. i'm disturbed that people are watching this and taking this politically charged opportunist uncle tom bull#### as authoritative social commentary.

  In addition to what I wrote on my previous post, I want to mention that the religion does not support the beating of women, neither the imposed coverage of their bodies nor the suppression of their freedom. The religion does say that lightly hitting the wife with a stick (just like a small wooden barbecue skewer) is allowed only as an ultimate resource when the wife presents ill behavior. It doesn't say, though, that it's fine to mutilate, bruise and/or beat her to death. And again: this is the last resource, dialogue should be the very first. The religion does not say that women should blindly obey their husbands nor put up with any injustices. Wives should be submissive (please check the dictionary for the true meaning of the word) to their husbands, who should be good, supportive, loving and caring; and should take the best care of them. Both men and women have right and duties within the fold of Islam, and both of them should fulfill their duties to deserve their rights. The using of the veil and modest clothing is encouraged by Islam, but not by all means forced upon the women. Islam doesn't say that only women should be modest, there are rules for men too; because modesty and decency should be part of the core values of the society and be practiced by both men and women. Women have the right to study, to work and to divorce, just as any men does. I do agree that Sharia law has quite harsh punishments to those who commit crimes. The intention of any law - including Sharia - is to have a set of social rules to grant the rights of the people, punishing those who don't respect them. The fear of the prescribed punishment serves as a way to discourage people of breaking the rules. Sharia, as any other law, has a process to judge and convict those accused of committing any crimes. As in any other law, the accused has the right to defend him/herself. People need to understand that in most of the so called muslim countries what is being practiced is not Islam. Islam does not force anything into anyone, does not encourage violence nor oppression and does not diminish women in any way. I urge all of those who showed interest in watching this movie that they do not act out of fear but out of knowledge; that they don't feel suspicious about all muslims, for the vast majority of muslims does not use the religion to achieve any political goals. And I urge the muslim community to raise their voices and show that they don't support such actions.

  Discussing which religion is the true religion has no point at all. Each person believes in what appeals to him/her the most. I am a muslim convert and a firm believer that there's no way to have compulsion in religion - as Islam itself preaches. I think that the whole point the movie wants to make is that there are people who are using the religion of Islam as a mean to achieve other objectives rather than improving in faith, worship and personal and spiritual elevation. That being said, I add that the Koran is not an easy book to understand, which can and does lead to many misinterpretations. The Arabic language in itself is very rich and many words lack a good translation into any other language. Each of the chapters were revealed according to the changes in the society of the time, which means that are intrinsically related with the history; so to fully understand the text, one needs to know about the history too. As a Western myself, I do realize there are many things coming from the so-called muslim countries that are at the very least questionable. Islam does not preach that muslims should get rid of all other religions, nor that any people who practice other religion should be persecuted; but that we should let them practice what they believe. It is a duty of the muslim to be an example of reasonability, mercy, compassion and tolerance; and inform people about the religion of Islam when inquired about it or when realizing the religion and its followers are been attacked by those who lack the understanding of it (self defense). The fact that the prophet married a 6 year-old wife more than 1200 years ago does not mean that it is acceptable now. At the time it was a practice throughout the world to marry very young women. The world has changed and so did the way people mature. No need to look back 1200 years, but only 100: at that time, an 18 year-old was considered an adult and had the responsibilities and duties of an adult and many 9 year-old girls already had their menses and were being trained to be housewives. So what is there to understand is that the prophet's example shows that it's fine to have an old or an young woman as long as you marry her and take care of her, but not that it's ok to marry a child who has no understanding of what is going on and is being forced into it. In fact, no muslim has the right to force anyone to marry anyone.

  The Issue isn't radical Islam or moderate Islam, the issue is what is Sharia Islam mean for America? First it means that since Muhammad could have a 6 yr old wife Aisha, and sleep and have sex at age 9, then one billion Muslims are divinely permitted to do the same, and in fact are encouraged to do this according to true Islam. Inviting true Islam into America is to invite all Muslims to follow this ungodly example that is documented in Google (see Islamic Child Brides and Wikepidia) among hundreds of Islamic documents. Second, Sharia Islam means the death of all Muslims who are daily leaving Islam to become Christians or any other religion. Third, Sharia Law mean the death of anyone who disagrees with Islam and is seen as blasphamy, as is the law in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and any other countries. So Jasser, do you endorse Muhammad's marriage examples as followed by the marriage of little girls in Yemen, Malaysia, UK, and almost every other country that has Muslims? God forbid, God have Mercy...Jn.8.32. Real Historical Islam and its manifestation in bowing down to the Occult Black Stone of Mecca is destined by God for failure, and the greatest revival and turning to Christ is happening all over the globe, greater than any other time in history and it can never be stopped, because the Truth sets Muslims free. God have Mercy..

  Gary Hooper, you claim the bible preaches love and the Quran preaches hate. I don't doubt that the Quran has some abhorrent passages in it, but I question if you have really read the bible with objectivity. In the New Testament, Jesus himself supported slavery, and his words were used to justify slavery in our own nation's history. In Leviticus, it says homosexuals should be put to death. In Exodus, it says followers of other religions should be put to death. In Deuteronomy, it says kill women who are not virgins on their wedding night. Lovely... Look, I dislike the idea of "Sharia Law" just as much as you do. But in this nation, "Bible Thumper Law" is currently a larger threat. In public school, I was forced to pledge to the Christian god. People who love each other can't get married because of Christians mixing their religion with love. It used to be interracial marriage that Christians protested against, now it's gay. I can't buy a beer on Sunday because of people in your religion trying to make this a theocracy. In the Army, I faced proselyting left and right, was given extra duty for not going to church, and left out of care packages in Iraq because the group sending them, and my fundamentalists platoon leader that organized it, only supported Christian soldiers. In the Army, I was forced to attend numerous prayers disguised as safety briefings.

  Just another group of religionists who think they can turn the USA into their vision. It didn't work in the past, and it won't work in the future. Yes, these radicals may/will cause a lot of problems, but in the end they will lose. Like all radicals, they have become so fixated they are unable to use reasoned thought to deal with reality. Freedom is so ingrained in American society that nothing can draw them away from it with any certainty. At best there is flexibility, but that flexability has a limit and that limit is dangerous to test. This is a scare film...lots of drama and spooky music intended to excite the emotions of the viewer. It can evoke an much extremism as it fights against. Not very responsible.

  In Texas, we have a saying, "You are who you ride with." While I applaud you for standing up to the atrocities of radical Islam, the fact is the vast majority of Muslims have remained silent if not even supported such atrocities. I have read the Koran and with all due respect, this is not the same God as that of the Jews and Christians. The attributes of Allah vs YHVH are vastly different, polar opposites I would suggest. I pray you will research and study the God of the Bible. Set aside any predisposed prejudices, and see who the Yeshua (Jesus) of the Bible really is. Read the book of John as a quick and easy read. Pray the One, True God speaks to your heart. In the mean time, I am praying for you as you seem to be seeking the Truth. "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Yeshua in John 14:6. Religion is from haSatan (which is why millions have been killed supposedly in God's name but really in the name of religion), while relationship with Yeshua is genuine relationship with our Creator!   Ragnar; I understand your fears as an athiest. however as a Christian pastor I need to inform you that no true Christian wants to make the USA a theocratic nation. Jesus said this world is not his kingdom. We believe the anti christ will reign before Christ comes to bring peace. Also no ture Christian will ever blow up themselves, other people, buildings etc. Yet Islam promotes racial hatred, murder and intolerance. Homosexuals in the USA need to fear Islam as they will become targets if Islam becomes the religion of America. I have studied the bible and the koran and believe me the bible preaches love and the koran preaches hatred.

  I think the American Taliban are a larger threat. Otherwise known as "The Christian Right", they want to turn this nation into a theocracy. We saw them imposing their religious views in Prop 8. If you go to a Tea Party rally this September, you'll see cries that this is a Cristian nation, and accusations of President Obama being a Muslim (which shouldn't matter even if he were). I went to a Tea Party last year, and as an atheist libertarian, my brain darn near melted out of my head. As a Ron Paul fan, it wasn't what I expected at all. These people don't think the 14th Amendment applies to non-Christians, gay people, and women. They had signs saying things like, "We kicked god out, not look at us." I'm more worried about the Christians than I am any Muslim. They aren't forcing their views on me through government force like the Christians are.

  An frightening, and honest treatment of this problem by - surprisingly - a practicing Muslim. Zuhdi Jasser says he is a Muslim. I wonder what are the tenets of his belief, if, as the Koran states, Allah abrogated much of the early, more peaceful part of his revelation? What is left to believe in except the Sword verses in the latter part of the revelation? To me his views seem those of a non-Muslim, or as some might say, a non-practicing Muslim.

  It appears like this film was made by an American puppet!! Here`s a question to all you Yanks. Why do you think you are so hated around the world?? Do you think people in all these countries just woke up one day and said from now on we will hate America?? You reap what you sow. If you plant the seeds of discontent, which America has for so many decades across the world, then there is no denying what the outcome would be!! Also in this video I saw scenes that were edited to take things OUT of context. America is also very good at moving the goal posts when it suits. I give you an example about HAMAS. The West keeps banging on about democracy!! So the fundemental principle of demecrocy is?? The right for the public to vote in any one they see fit for governance, without interferance. So as it stands HAMAS is a democratically elected government as defined in the Oxford English dictionary. So what does America do?? We cant talk to you because you are a terrorist organisation!!! The killing of innocents is a totally abhorrent act. But please if your going to make a documentary you should make it balanced and not one sided.

  In addition Rick, I find this film which has been chosen to be hosted here at complete cross purposes to Mrs. Case's work with U.S.-Palestinian Partnership where CERTAINLY she works with Muslim Palestinians both in Palestine and here in the US. Just yesterday she attended a summit meeting for this organization with Condaleeza Rice who appointed her. In the full length version of this film Jasser gives a chart and claims that by the year (I believe 2100), Muslims will constitute 20% of the US population due to 1)Islam is the fastest growing faith in the US 2) their birthrate is higher. He has provided proof positive of what occurs when the Muslim population reaches 20% by showing Muslim riots in Europe where the population in some countries has reached that critical mass. He then states, "People say that Muslims in America are assimilated, I'm showing you proof that a large majority of them are not, it is only a matter of time before what has occurred in Europe occurs here" WITHOUT stating the fact that millions of Muslims live in Europe peacefully. Rick, is this the sort of scare tactic Mrs. Case would want to further? Especially in light of her work with Condaleeza Rice who is working til the last days of this administration to try to establish peace in Israel/Palestine (and Palestine is obviously majority Muslim) Mrs. Case was also a Bush appointee to President's Council on Service and Civic Participation. President Bush himself has stated quite clearly that Muslim Americans are not to be scapegoated and has called PUBLICLY for full restraint in attacking or condemning them. Is not the purpose of this film, and those who are using it as their tool at complete cross purposes to his call? These are some questions I think need to be answered Rick, because anti-Muslim sentiments are at an all-time high in this election, and this website is offering the means by which to spread them. If you have checked the emails for submission of films, then you would see that I addressed an email to Jean Case who with her husband, Steve Case, are founders and supporters of this website and the Case Foundation Have you watched the film Rick? Because if you haven't I suggest both you and Jean Case do so, in full length since you have chosen to host an abridged version here to be disseminated to blogs, Facebook, other websites by "snagging it" It starts out with the hostage/murder in the Russian school, note be taken, these were Muslims. It then gives the number of more than 30 "terrorist plots" uncovered before they could take place. It cherry picks the "Sears Tower plot". Does this film say that? Not hardly, with dramatic music playing in the background it gives "proof" that Muslim bogey men are at large using this faux example. Last week Rick I attended a "premier" of the full length version of "The Third Jihad". The "premier' which I attended had been scheduled by members of Brigitte Gabriel's ACT for America. The same Brigitte Gabriel who stated, ""The difference, my friends, between Israel and the Arabic world is the difference between civilization and barbarism. It's the difference between goodness and evil [applause]....and this is what we're witnessing in the Arabic world, they have no soul! They are dead set on killing and destruction." - Bridgette Gabriel, CUFI 2007. The audience as they let out made it abundantly clear that we are in a war with ISLAM which attempting to take over America. We must be hyper-vigilant against ALL Muslims. On Monday I came face to face with Gregory Ross, spokesman for the Clarion Fund, producers and disseminators of this film. After informing him of my experience I asked him if the Clarion Fund was willing to put on their website a public disclaimer that their film was not to be used in any fashion shape or form to spread hatred or distrust of Muslim Americans at large. He refused to do this Rick, instead stating to me that they cannot control how their film is used.

  how can you say it is propaganda when it is showing you what the muslims are saying. it's not like they made the film and just say this stuff they are backing it with the proof of the muslims saying it in their own words.propaganda is when someone says untruths and can't show any real proof,as in the case of al gore and his bogus "documentary"

  Richard: Like you, I find much in this film with which I disagree ... as I do with many of the films we screen at SnagFilms. The introduction to Snag the Vote makes it clear that we are offering films with strong points of view, and that we hope for debate - for substantive analysis and differing perspectives. At its best, that’s what elections should turn on. Our users (and indie film fans generally) are smart folks - engage them. The best way to counter "propaganda" is to marshal your arguments, not to name call. And the purpose of a library with hundreds of documentaries is to allow widely differing views to be presented – you will certainly find that diversity at SnagFilms. Rick Allen CEO, SnagFilms
