I really loved the documentary- I thought it was incredibly well done. I think that for films like this, they can either get caught in the particular experience/ organization that is being filmed or ignore the individual experience in order to promote the larger issues they set out to highlight. I believe that this film navigated both the individual experience and a discussion on the larger issues at hand effortlessly and beautifully; for me, this had a lot to do with the style of filming and the ways in which each of the people featured spoke of their experiences and then extrapolated to the larger questions. This bottom-up approach seemed very honest and genuine. In this, I think the film is very thought-provoking and a great conversation-starter; those thoughts and conversations can range from reflections on the experiences of the particular events at the clinic depicted in the film to the economics of underdeveloped and developing world.
